Joining Forces Mentoring Plus® gives working women – both veterans and civilians – the opportunity to tap their own experiences in the workplace, to help women veterans, military spouses and caregivers of wounded warriors successfully enter the workforce and advance in in their careers. It provides women veterans, military and veteran spouses and caregivers of wounded warriors the tools and support necessary to assist them obtain meaningful employment in a career of interest to them.

Why BPW Foundation? BPW was the first foundation to focus on working women – including, women in non-traditional occupations. In 2005 BPW Foundation recognized the surge of women veterans returning home from two wars and. wanted to know how workplaces were receiving these new and uniquely skilled workers and what resources were available to help them move from the military to the civilian workforce. The Women Joining Forces Closing Ranks Opening Doors Advisory Council and Mentoring Advisory Council (MAC) were created to provide the expertise and experience needed to support military-connected women in finding quality employment.
